Hi there~! ♥
I’ll be recapping what happened at the UBC Anime Club Cosplay Cafe, held on March 9th, 2013 >w<! This event was the club’s very first cafe, and it was a huge success! Held inside the Student Union Building on campus, so many members, fans and entertainers came out to spend the afternoon with us~ ♥ Oh, and there was cake (─‿‿─)
I ordered this special black forest cake with my picture that was donated by Anna’s Cake House! It was so cute and delicious! *(*´∀｀*)☆
There was a team of maids and cosplayers that were excellent at serving the guests at the cafe! Many of the guests enjoyed the event. I had an opportunity to get served by one of the cosplayers as well! The one serving me yummy cakes and delicious tea was very polite and friendly! (´∇ﾉ｀*)ノ
Thank you to the volunteers from CosCafe that helped out at the event!
I also got a chance to listen to performances by Ally and Sally the two twin idols that sang for Anime Revolution! They were so cute! o(≧∇≦o)
The band Ryouko performed acoustic anime and Vocaloid covers such as “Fuwa Fuwa Time” from K-ON! And “Melt” by Hatsune Miku! Their music was very upbeat and full of joy! ヽ(*≧ω≦)ﾉ
The other band that I got to listen to was KANONL8 who does covers for JPop. They performed one of my favourite songs, “Rolling Star” by YUI from Bleach! *_*
ODEN, an instrumental band, performed their experimental songs and were so creative with their performances! Encore!!! ヽ(´▽｀；)/♪
Thank you to all of the entertainers that came to perform at the Cosplay Cafe: It really made the event so much more memorable ♥
Vancouver Cosplay Cafe, MiniComi and Anime Evolution were also at our event! They were guests and we appreciate them showing up to support the club! So thank you for coming out to the event, Vancouver Cosplay Cafe, MiniComi and Anime Evolution! 😀
To sum the cafe up in a few words: It was awesome! I hope this event will return in the future!
