Hi again! Hope everyone is having a great Summer 2022, this year UBC Ani is bringing back our Summer Beach Outing! If you’ve ever wanted to live out a slice of life beach episode, now’s your chance!
The Beach Outing will take place at Kitsilano Beach and start at 11:30AM on July 27th, but execs will be there setting up at around 9-10AM. You’re free to come as early or as late as you’d like though, since we’ll be there until after the Celebration of Light fireworks display at 10PM.
Schedule:
11:30 AM – Beach Outing Starts
10:00 PM – Celebration of Light Fireworks Begin
An annoucement with a more concrete schedule will be coming closer to the day of the event, so please stay tuned!
Where: Kitsilano Beach
We will be hosting a variety of activities during the event such as:
-Tug of War
– Watermelon Smashing
– Sports like frisbee/volleyball
What to Bring:
Attendees are responsible for their own lunch/dinner plans, and should bring water/food. Other drinks (like soda) will be provided for free (in limited quantity) by the club.
Also, if you have frisbees, volleyballs, or other beach friendly stuff that you’d like to bring, that would be awesome!
Just make sure to come prepared with sunscreen, a swimsuit, towels or blankets, and water! This event will also take place rain or shine, so prepping for rainy weather isn’t a bad idea.
