Updates: Clubs’ Days and Icebreaker 2012
The gears are in motion for the Anime Club. We will have a presence at UBC’s Clubs’ Days and host our very own Icebreaker! Membership for the club will be sold at both events.
Clubs’ Days this year will be on the 19th and 20th (10AM-4PM) and 21st (10AM-3PM). The Anime Club will have a booth in the SUB Party room (located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union Building). This is an excellent opportunity to buy membership and ask questions.
UBC Imagine Day 2012
The UBC Anime Club will have a booth for club advertisement during UBC’s opening day: Imagine Day on Tuesday, September 4th! We will be in front of Koerner Library from 1:30 to 5:00 PM.

Blog Updates: July 27 2012
We have our first two blog entries! Both of them are reviews of our experience at local anime events (which we mentioned in the previous news post). A big thanks to all those who attended and of course those who organized MiniComi and J-Fest.
Yubi Shiani’s Experience at Minicomi 2012 and J-Fest 2012
Event Updates – Early July
UBC Anime Club will be at a number of summer events, the closest of which are:
Minicomi (July 7) – UBC: Funded and organized by the anime club, this local one-day convention is modelled after Comiket in Japan and helps support local artists.
J-Fest (July 14) – Douglas College, New Westminster: J-Fest is a one-day convention part of the larger event known as Anime Evolution. Vendor, gaming and showing rooms are just a few of the attractions that will be present. We will have a table there, so if you see us, please stop by and say hi!
