The activity this week is a member favourite: Karaoke Night! All skill levels are welcome and because we will be using Internet karaoke videos (e.g. Youtube, Nico Nico Douga, etc.), you can sing whatever you wish! If you’re looking for a partner or a group to sing with you, try asking in our Facebook Group.

Showing #6: Digital Art Workshop and Manga Round Robin

We will be continuing with our three voted anime: Kyoukai no KanataKill la Kill and Nagi no Asukara. Please be respectful with regards to spoilers and noise levels; those around you are trying to focus on the anime!

The activity this week is art-themed; after returning from dinner break, we’ll be having a Digital Art Workshop hosted by two very talented members including our very own Creative Director! If you’ve always wanted to learn how to create anime-style artwork on the computer, then this is the workshop for you!

After the workshop, we’ll move on to Manga Round Robin, a game played in small groups where each member creates one panel of a manga. All skill levels are welcome- you do NOT need to be an artist to play! It’s all about fun, silliness, and absurdity; for samples of manga that we have created in the past, please see our gallery.

Following dinner break will be a blast from the past: it will be our first Anime Theme Night of the year – Nostalgia! We grew up watching anime like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Beyblade, Cardcaptor Sakura, and more. What anime from our childhoods will we choose to re-watch? You’ll need to join us on Friday night to find out!
